I tweaked my family favorite to use for a gift in a jar...



♥ Family favorite Chocolate Chips cookies ♥

Use a 1- quart jar (32 oz. salad dressing jar works great)

1. 1 1/4c. firmly packed brown sugar packed firmly in bottom of jar

2. 1 3/4c all purpose flour spoon on top of sugar and press down pour 1 tsp salt & 3/4 tsp baking soda over flour

3. Place 1 cup milk chocolate chips + Toffee bits or broken heath bar on top, press down to fit. (you can add nuts if you want & if they fit)

4. Put lid on jar and close. Decorate lid as you want (Ribbons, Twine, Fabric etc)

Heat oven 375*. Combine jar ingredients slowly with 3/4 cup butter shortening, 2 TBS milk, 1 TBS Vanilla and 1 egg to a creamed mixture.Drop by round teaspoon (I use a small ice cream scoop) on
ungreased cookie sheet. Bake one cookie sheet at a time for 8 to 10 minutes (for chewy cookies). Or 11 to 13 minutes for crispy cookies. Cool 2 minutes on cookies sheet before your remove them to a cooling rack. Enjoy!♥
